One year ago, House of Mabangó lived quietly in the notes app on my phone. Just a spark of a dream — that laundry could be more than a repetitive chore. That it could be joyful, gentle, uplifting, sensory… and something you actually look forward to.
But if I’m honest, I didn’t know if I had the guts to launch it. To take the risk. To step into something that required everything from me: time, energy, courage, creativity, belief.
And yet, here we are. One year later. Mabangó isn’t just an idea anymore. It’s a brand. A business. A community. A movement towards self-care in the everyday.
It hasn’t been easy. There have been long nights, financial risks, technical disasters, tears of frustration (I still cry 😅), moments of doubt, and times I didn’t think I could handle it all. Then there were days where something tiny: a sweet message, a tag, a first restock, turned everything around.
In between motherhood and entrepreneurship, it felt like running two worlds, and sometimes I dropped balls in both. But Mabangó truly feels like my fourth baby. Watching it grow fills me with pride and gratitude every single day.
We’re still a baby brand. Still learning, still refining, still growing.
But we’re getting stronger, wiser, and better, one little laundry bestie at a time.
And that is because of you.
You’re the reason Mabangó exists beyond my notes app.
You’re the reason I kept going when it was tough.
You’re the reason I wake up excited to create.
So thank you from the bottom of my heart for every order, every review, every unboxing story, every DM, every “my clothes smell amazing,” every time you shared Mabangó with someone you love.
