We are beyond excited to share some big news: House of Mabangó has been nominated in the Top 10 for the Marie Claire Starters Award 2025! This recognition means so much to us, not only as a young eco-luxury laundry care brand, but also as a female-founded company that started with a simple mission: to make laundry more sustainable, beautiful, and enjoyable.
As part of the nomination, our founder Charise Rozenbeek was invited to a unique coaching day organized by Marie Claire, Josh Veldhuizen, and Dutch Golf NL. It was an inspiring mix of entrepreneurship talks, networking, and even a golf pro class because building a business is all about balance, focus, and learning new skills (on and off the green!).

A session with Victoria, founder of Furmey, who shared her journey of launching a start-up and navigating challenges with creativity and resilience and with Claire Slootheer, founder of Iconic Studios about the importance of Public Relations.

A golf masterclass from a Dutch Golf pro, where she taught us how to hit the golfbal — a playful reminder that learning something new can be just as exciting in sports as in business.
For House of Mabango, this nomination feels like so much more than an award, it’s a recognition of the heart behind what we do. From creating gentle and safer laundry care inspired by the islands of the Philippines, to weaving in stories of home and community, to giving back through our support of Save Philippine Seas, every step has been about building something meaningful together.
As a female founder, Charise believes in building not just a brand, but a movement towards conscious living. The Marie Claire Starters Award is a beautiful platform to share that vision with a wider audience.
What’s Next for House of Mabango
Being part of the Top 10 is only the beginning. In the coming months, we’ll be focusing on expanding our product line with new eco-luxury laundry essentials, including a laundry perfume and a refreshing fabric spray. We’re also working on travel-friendly formats, so you can take Mabango with you wherever you go.
Beyond products, we aim to grow our community of conscious consumers, strengthen our partnerships with initiatives like Save Philippine Seas, and continue sharing the stories that inspire our brand. We’re deeply grateful for this recognition, and even more grateful for the community that has believed in us from the very start.
